Hairy Teddy Tucker

I have no idea why.

Now it seems Ted has a passion for the trendy and for fashion

And the feel of fabric tight against his skin

Now he’s a manly man don’t doubt it but sometimes he cannot fight it

And into a little red dress he’ll slip in

Loves the way it makes him look just like a model from a book

Or so he tells himself so as to not feel weird

How it accentuates his form and no it might not be the norm

But he also thinks it goes well with his beard

He feels quite confident and hot and his wife doesn’t mind one jot

In fact she likes the way it makes his bottom look

Though as it’s rather sheer some things do stand out, oh dear

She suggest perhaps he might just try a tuck

So with his package put away and sexily his hips do sway

And he feels gorgeous and quite special, rather girly

Lips full they taste of cherry glass of wine he’s feeling merry

And to the bedroom leads the way his tuck unfurling

What Teddy saw. 1.

Something a little different. There may be more they may not.

I do not want to do this anymore and am wondering very much if there is a way out.

Whilst I realise it is my lot in life, and with my doleful eyes and thick creamy fur I am perfect for the job, my god you have no idea what it’s like.  If I am lucky then I may get to enjoy a tea party or a picnic with some of the others but for the most part I simply have to sit and watch.

Now Ive seen Toy Story, and I would assure you that despite what you may think there are no playful shenanigans when you leave the room.  I do not get to spoon with Barbie whilst cowboys and astronauts reach for the stars.  Nor are there adventures to be had beyond the toy box.   All we do is watch.

Now Some of you may be people watchers, and if so then good for you, but just imagine what it is like watching the same people day in day out.  This isn’t some whimsical existence where I can wistfully imagine the life they have from a distance.  No, this is a living hell where I have to witness every awful thing that goes on behind closed doors.

I often wonder which bastard created me because I can’t even close my frigging eyes.

Just yesterday I’d been left on the kitchen side and I had to watch him eating leftovers, straight from the fridge, naked in the middle of the night.  He has an abundance of body hair which in itself is bad enough but what made it extra special was the way he still managed to scratch himself with a chicken drumstick in each hand.  No wonder he spends so much time on the bloody toilet, anus chicken will do that to you every time.

If only I knew how to end it.

#SalemVerse Prompt #18 – Flashing Lights

‘Flashing Lights’ was the prompt.

Each blink and flash illuminates

laid bare, the hunger shown

then lights fierce glare fades slow lips wet

and in the dark alone

a hunger deep, a need to fill

his thirst to satisfy

he must succumb and cannot wait

without a thought to why

he lusts and needs and craves and wants

then light once more shines bright

he stands before the fridge quite hungry

in his underwear at night

2000AD ART – Devlin Waugh

By Colin Macneil from Judge Dredd Megazine #201-#213 2003

Here’s something fun.  It is a Devlin Waugh page by Colin Macneil from the ‘Red Tide’ story published in 2003.  AS I recall Devlin was a homosexual, catholic vampire.  One of the good guys.  The stories were fun and irreverent and rather witty and I just love the purple wash of this piece.  Up close I can see the individual paint and pen lines and pick out the different layers as he did the work which I love.20180728_1349108327180484064843271.jpg20180728_1349124134276150697084314.jpg20180728_1349041187202734929584749.jpg20180728_1349148775032264053538110.jpg20180728_1349078228319536583669871.jpg20180728_134859509131846605759011.jpgwp-15327821940404484933494261829227.jpg

2000AD Spin off CRISIS – #1

4th of Feb 1978

At some point in the late 1980’s I seem to have encountered the comic ‘CRISIS’.  I don’t quite remember exactly when but I do remember it being something very different to 2000AD despite it being written and drawn by mostly the same pool of people.

I shall steal from Wikipedia I think…

Crisis was Fleetway’s response to the success of Deadline. David Bishop, in his Thrill Power Overload, comments “2000 AD had once represented the cutting edge of British comics, but was now in danger of looking staid and old fashioned next to Deadline”.[1]

Conceived by editor Steve MacManus, Crisis would offer to make the work creator-owned, which might lead to the chance for royalties and greater copyright control, which was a departure from the way they had done business up until then. They also planned to turn the stories into American comic books which would sell better on the other side of the Atlantic, although ultimately only the first few titles got this treatment and the title moved to shorter stories after issue #14.[1]

It was political and edgy, I recall a burning church at some point and there were people trying to save the planet and blowing things up.  That is what I recall at least.  I managed to buy most of them off of ebay in recent years and even now it remains an abrasive read at times but I did so enjoy it even though I didn’t really know what was going on sometimes.  I have some of the artwork somewhere too which I should dig out really.  Maybe next time.20180728_1333466584522791921641319.jpg20180728_1334116291602452249172252.jpg20180728_1334372799999352751936881.jpg20180728_1334004081492822057605671.jpg20180728_1334489174349816360608255.jpg20180728_1335144770524381636448904.jpg

Worth a read if you can pick up old copies if only to enjoy some of the Ezquerra artwork or Mills writing.

Someone I have been enjoying following recently, especially his fabulous paintings.

Hi! I’m Alex Markovich, the author of this blog. I was born in Belgorod (Russia) on April 10, 1978. MarkovichUniverse AT gmail DOT com I would divide my activities into two main categories. NUMBER ONE. I write sci-fi & philosophic stories and novels; some of them are staged in experimental theaters, including SCI-FI THEATER which […]

A Moon — Cage Dunn: Writer, Author, Teller-of-tall-tales

Another of the folk I like to follow because of the variety in their posts.

On Saturday (0500) I’ll be getting up to look at the night sky. Why? For this. I’ll be looking at the dark red micro moon at full eclipse. A total lunar eclipse. It will be beautiful. The super-moon eclipse was amazing, too, but when the moon is so big, so close, it feels ominous. The […]

Oh yeah. Hard core.

I realise that one right does not in any way fix all of the wrongs.

Parched the earth waits still

distant rumbles promise life

passes by taunting

Oh good god I tried to write a proper haiku effort and I feel all dirty.  Please don’t think badly of me or tell anyone because I have a reputation to keep up.  I really have no hidden depths than need to be explored, I am somewhat blond to the beauty around me mostly and I do not possess the angst nor the soul to produce something that will speak to your heart.

I can however turn cock, sock and shock into something pretty funny when so moved which is something I guess.

Play to your strengths eh 🙂

Rovin’ and ‘Ritin’ … — WALKIN’, WRITIN’, WIT & WHIMSY – REBLOG

I like a bit of variety in my reader and Linda provides some of that with her writings on her walks. There are usually squirrels involved which I rather enjoy.

It seems I’ve done neither of the above much lately. Oh, I did that post the other day about my boss and his trip on the high seas, which was an occasion to tout that I had surpassed the halfway mark to my eventual goal. I am still striving to stride toward that goal, though […]

Diet o’clock 23rd of July. 30 days of Whole30

So, thirty days in let’s see what the scale has to say shall we.

So that’s it.  Thirty days of whole30 done and dusted.  It certainly has flown by and was nowhere near as difficult as I thought it would be.  Once I cracked the shopping bit and realised I might not meet absolutely every strict criteria on the organic front it was much easier.

Now there is so much I cold write about, and I will week by week, but for this post I think there are some high level goals that I would reflect on.

I wanted to generally feel better physically because I was feeling a bit rough and rather old and achy and you know what I do.  My knees don’t ache like they did, the walk up the hill to walk no longer leaves me out of breath and overall I just feel far more comfortable in my body.   Oh and my blood pressure seems to be improving so that’s a huge plus.

I wanted my family to eat better and they have.  They are also more aware of the effects of food and are making their own decisions about what is good for them and which isn’t.  They have both also lost a bit of weight whilst eating more than they ever did and seem happier and healthier for it.  That isn’t to say they didn’t gobble down the cup cakes I made for them yesterday.

I wanted to lose some weight and I did.  I need to lose lots more, and I now have some realistic targets, but losing weight was something I needed to do.  I am not getting any younger and fall into the morbidly obese category I think – I probably don’t quite look it but I am.  So how much I hear you ask?  Well as if this morning I have lost 11.1kg in 30 days.  That is just short of 25lbs I believe.

I know losing more wont go as quickly as this has gone and I am happy with that.  I am more concerned with changing my lifestyle and my families and losing weight for the last time.  I hope to lose another 45KG by the end of the year.  I know that seems a lot but I can afford to lose it.

I am going to do another 30 days of this because I have enjoyed it so much and at the end of that I plan to do it again but this time I am going to start introducing things back into my diet.  I’ll let you know how it goes.

Did I mention I am addicted to Salsa?  Its been a revelation for me.  That and Guacamole.  I had only ever had stuff from the store and never made it myself.  Oh god how good is it and why did no one ever tell me its that amazing!

Oh that bottom photo…I made a kind of coconut milk Ice Cream.  Not particularly sweet but just cold enough to give me a bit of a desert when combined with pecans, banana and cinnamon.
