Revenge Limericks

Isn’t it great when bad things happen to terrible people.

This week my mind turns to revenge and perhaps, for that special someone who has slighted you and has now finds themselves in a pickle.  Maybe you want to send them a nice card with a limerick expressing how sad you are that they have had such a lousy spell of bad luck.

There once was a waiter named skip

tried so hard, customers did not tip

paid the bill, left and sneered

got run over, car veered

ran them down, both now dead, what a trip!

Remember, always tip!

  1. Ha ha – my first job was as a waitress at a diner where I worked while attending college. My first day, first customers … they were regulars there and always expected their second cup of coffee to be brought swiftly so they could get out of there on time to get their business (a Dairy Queen) opened for business. No one told me that … apparently they were always good for a quarter (this was 1973 mind you and that was a good tip for coffee/toast for each of them) … I got a napkin folded up and inside was $0.12 … and a note “half coffee, half tip” … I will never forget that … you’re trying hard to impress on the first day. They turned out to be super customers who invited me to their condo in Florida where they stayed with the DQ was closed, but this brought back a few memories. Thanks for indulging me.

  2. As a college student making $1.10/hour, I was ecstatic when people handed me a dollar and said “keep the change” … my parents did put me through school, so my wages were used for my own needs – entertainment and I used to travel a lot so saved up for that and those quarters added up, so I was pretty lucky in that regard that wages and tips were for me. I’m betting you were not even born yet! 🙂
