Thanks to Michelle for the prompt
From the corner of the room Gary looked down at his cold and lifeless body spread-eagled, face down, on the bed.
“Oh shit” he thought as a crime scene officer took photographs of the 12 inch black ‘thundercock’ hanging out of the back of his quite obviously deceased self. “What’s Karen going to think?”
The CSO pulled out her phone, snapped a photo, and quickly put it away again.
“I know him you know” she said to the police officer stood at the door.
“Yeah?” he replied.
“Yes” she answered smiling broadly, “ex-fiance, he cheated on me with his current wife.”

There are a thousand stories in the naked city. This had been one of them.

You know… each one of these could be the start of a full-fledged novel someday. Of course that all depends on how far you’re willing to take them. I’m finding it interesting the different scenarios you’re coming up with though. Makes me wonder what you’ll ever do with musical undertones. Lol… 😉

I can completely relate to that. It’s why I’ve been sticking to mostly writing short stories and poems. Haven’t done a story on my blog in awhile. Those are mostly always inspired by my dreams.

Ooh funny u mention dreams…just writing incessant dreaming !
Maybe the things u write are the things u really love doing. I used to thing of my limericks as an aside, a diversion, then i realised i love them and they make me happy and if that’s all i ever did then so be it 🙂

Are you…? Can’t wait to read that one!
I think you’re right about that. I am a fairly new writer. Only 3 years in, and once I started, I couldn’t stop. It’s not a chore or something I feel I have to do, but rather something that makes me truly happy. And that’s why I do it, for the sheer love of it. I never thought I’d have something I was truly passionate about in my life, but then I discovered poetry. I took one of the WP classes and that’s where it all began. It’s funny that it took me 42 years to discover that I actually love writing. Btw… your limericks make everyone else happy too. So that’s a plus! Lol… 😉
