Alex – you are very talented with your watercolor drawings … I tried to comment but could not find a place to do so, so will comment here on Michael’s blog. Thank you for offering us a chance to use your artwork on our respective blogs. That is very kind of you. I visited Russia back in 2003 as part of a three-week tour of Scandinavian countries and Russia. Three days in Moscow; three days in Leningrad and then some travel time on a train and by Aeroflot. It was an enjoyable time and we had a Russian tour guide, in addition to our regular Maupintour tour guide – so we were well covered and no language barrier at all! There was much to see during our stay and it was a memorable visit.
