Out in the van – Knaresborough

Knaresbrough

Its been a funny old year hasn’t it. The van was mostly parked up for the duration as we navigated our way through lockdown and covid restrictions, site closures and utilising the van as storage whilst our house renovations dragged on.

The sum total of all of those distractions and excuses has resulted in us only getting the van out today. Like now. This very moment. Obviously if you dont read this on the 17th of October 2020 Im likely not right here, right now.

Im currently on a site in Knaresboroughin North yorkshire drinking a rather nice south African Sauvignon Blanc with the intentions of watching rugby on TV, ordering take away and doing nothing else.

The boys are here with me and they are happily settled in doing whatever they do and not in the slightest interested in going for a walk or seeing a bit of nature. Given were only here for one night I don’t really mind…its just nice to have a change of scenery.

Oh and obviously the highlight of amy camping trip is to prefix caravan names with ‘anal”. Try it with the photos below. Such filthy fun.

Stay safe my lovelies…

  1. That’s for sure – I guess you may work from home forever Michael. I think they told you September you might be going back, then extended it … that’s okay with you I’m sure, especially during the Wintertime.

  2. I hope you had a nice time getting away. I’d love to get away for even a day but there is really no where safe to go it seems. Here in Iowa we had nearly 2000 new Covid cases in one day. I know we are one of the highest states per population ratio… I am so ready for a vaccine! Stay safe yourself!

  3. I think I heard Microsoft employees may never go back and Facebook and Twitter next year sometime. I heard today you go on a one-month lockdown in the UK … good thing you got that nice fireplace … it will be getting lots of use as the family hunkers down.

  4. Well that is good – I thought it was a total lockdown like before. Fingers crossed things return to normal though I don’t see that happening until late 2021, if not 2022 (especially here in the States).

  5. Today I saw a joke that said – let the politicians try out the vaccines … if they live, then get them. I was waiting to see what Dr. Fauci says … if Trump wins he will fire Dr. Fauci. Today I heard on the national news that Prince William had COVID. They kept that mum. I am not sure that I heard about Charles having it … 2020 has become a blur Michael.
