My brother lives there at the moment and I live there many years ago, also lived in Immingham which is equally horrid . tell your wife my brother lived on the nunsthorpe and I’m sure she will tell you just what it’s like which is why my tail of Grimsby is actually just true story
Funny enough, she did live on the “Nunny” for a while so she can concur with your brother. But if you fancy a good drink and a punchy up on a Friday or Saturday night, then GY is the place to go. Got to be careful because they have the mobile police cells out in the town centre on those nights.
Bloody hell what a small world it is. I used to work at the Halifax bank in the middle of Grimsby just near Freshney Place goodness what horrible memories this conversation is bringing back. Actually though to be fair to The Place Grimsby or Cleethorpes is actually a really great night out. As rough as the place is the last time I went out there there were loads of metal clubs which my sister took me to and there was absolutely no shit in any of them and it was absolutely brilliant night and I’ve been threatening to go back for a long time.
There are some cool metal places there, Lloyd’s has always been a favourite of mine. It’s all the trendy clubs where you get all the shit and that just not Grimsby either. You’re right though, you can have a good night out there.
